Candida Can-Sol

The code to order capsules is:  CCAN.  Candidiasis is an infection caused by strains of the yeast, Candida, the most common being Candida Albicans . Candida is normally present in the digestive tract and the vagina. During certain favorable conditions such as warm, humid weather or when an individual's immune system is impaired, the yeast can infect the skin. Mucous membranes in the mouth and vagina are commonly infected. In rare instances, Candida can invade blood and deeper tissues, causing life-threatening infection.

Cholesterol & Flaxseed

...Some information excerpted from The Flaxseed Revolution by Michael Bennett, Pharm.D.

Nature's Source of Omega-3s, Lignans and Fiber

Consumption of these wonderful seeds from nature may help treat or prevent the following conditions:
  • Diabetes
  • Heart Disease
  • Skin Disorders, such as psoriasis and eczema
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Lupus Nephritis and renal disease
  • Cancers of the Breast, Prostate or Colon
  • Weak Immune System
  • Asthma
  • Constipation (A natural laxative)
  • Hormonal Imbalance

Dr. Julian Whitaker advised women to use whole ground flaxseed as an effective measure to prevent breast cancer. One of his specific recommendations for women is to use 1/4 cup of flaxseed each day. The reasons for this recommendation are based primarily on the health benefit of having a very high source of lignans in the diet.

Flax Seed Extract

Flax Seed is a very old and effective remedy as an universal healer. It dissolves cholesterol and reduces triglycerides (a type of body fat) to normal. (Please note: When dissolving hunks of cholesterol into small harmless pieces, a cholesterol test may show elevated levels of cholesterol. This does not mean cholesterol has increased; it means your cholesterol is being broken up and can be read by the test while the body is flushing it out.) It is used internally and externally to kill the bad cells of the body by starving them and feeding the good cells. Excellent for injuries - both inside and outside the body. It strengthen weak areas, such as ruptures and varicose veins. It heals urinary and reproductive tracts. This is a swift and effective remedy.

Cholesterol & Flaxseed

Flax is the most perfect food from nature for all-around immune support, cholesterol support, healthy digestion and healthy glowing skin (not to mention weight loss). We now have available flax in its whole seed form and it is GOLDEN FLAXSEED produced by our own farmers in the United States. Flaxseeds are a source of many of the nutrients that your body needs, including protein, vitamins, phytonutrients, lignans and fiber. Flaxseeds are 35% oil and 55% of that oil includes the crucial omega-3 fatty acids. Remember, both omega-3 and omega-6 are essential oils that should be included in your diet to promote good heart health. Just 1/4 cup of flax contains 9,000 mg of Omega-3's.

Grinding your own flaxseeds in a coffee grinder is without a doubt the best way to insure that you're getting the freshest, most nutritious form of flax available. Remember, it's very important to grind the flaxseeds because if they're not ground or crushed, they will pass through your system intact and you will lose many of the important health benefits. One gallon of our flaxseed is $30 and a 1/4 gallon size is $9.

Hippocrates used flaxseed to treat intestinal ailments thousands of years ago. It's attracting attention these days for a different reason. Scientists have discovered that flaxseed is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which may protect against arthritis, heart disease, and some kinds of stroke. Flaxseed is also rich in phytoestrogens. It is possible that phytoestrogen plays a role in inhibiting the growth of hormone driven cancer cells, especially in the breast, endometrium and prostate, according to Susan Lark, MD and a specialist in women's health and clinical nutrition in Los Altos, CA. She suggests using flaxseed in salad dressing, mixed with cereal or adding to baked goods and shakes.

Flaxseed may also reduce the symptoms of attention deficit disorder.

Golden Flaxseeds are 28-35% fiber, 1/3 of which is soluble, the other 2/3 is insoluble.

Soluble fiber has been shown to lower cholesterol and regulate blood sugars, thereby helping with both heart disease and diabetes. Soluble fiber also plays an important role in maintaining the "good" bacteria in our bowels, like Lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacteria. Soluble fiber is also "soothing" to an irritated bowel.

Insoluble fiber increases the bulk of stools and prevents constipation. This is important toward the prevention of colon cancer. Lignans are a type of insoluble fiber that act as phytoestrogens. Lignans have been shown to help relieve the symptoms of menopause, as well as having anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.

There are many people now using just flaxseed oil. This is better than not using any oil at all; however, nature has packed two other ingredients (lignans and fiber) in a seed so why not use all three?

Flaxseed is high in several minerals, especially potassium, containing from 5,600 to 9,200 mg/kg. This is relatively high compared to a banana (1,030); oatmeal (3,960); whole potato (1,140); or orange juice (24) and puts another plus in the column for flaxseed use. Calcium, magnesium and zinc are also in flaxseed.

FATS: Also called lipids, consist of triglycerides (TGs), phospholipids (PLs), and sterols (like cholesterol). Fats are listed on nutrition labels as Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Monounsaturated Fat, and Polyunsaturated Fat. Below is more detailed discussion of the chemistry and health effects of these different fats. There are "good" and "bad" fats. Some very large studies have shown good reasons to completely avoid some fats.

TRIGLYCERIDES (TGs) are the most common fats in the diet and are made up of a glycerol "backbone" with fatty acids (FAs) linked to it. The body's digestive enzymes, along with bile from the gallbladder, breakdown the TGs into free fatty acids (FFAs), glycerol, and monoglycerides. These smaller units can now be absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract and be transported by special protein-like molecules called lipoproteins. You have likely heard about "bad" LDL (low density lipoprotein) cholesterol and "good" HDL (high density lipoprotein) cholesterol. Both are independent risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease. The linked FAs can be from 18-20 carbons long and have varying degrees of "saturation" .

PHOSPHOLIPIDS (PLs) are the most important components of each cell's membrane and functions, in part, as cellular "gatekeepers" allowing in certain nutrients and getting rid of metabolic waste products. This "phospholipid bi-layer" is made of proteins, fatty acids, and phosphorus. If the wrong or foreign substances (like trans fatty acids) get into the phospholipid structure, there will be a loss of nutrient and waste product transport efficiency and a breakdown of cell-to-cell communication.

STEROLS: Cholesterol is the most important representative here and is important for many processes, especially the synthesis of steroid hormones.

SATURATED FATS AND FATTY ACIDS: Typically these are animal fats like butter, lard, and tallow and are semi-solid to solid at room temperature. In chemistry, we say the FAs are "saturated" when there are no double bonds and full "hydrogenation" in the fatty acid. Stearic acid is an example of an 18-carbon saturated fatty acid.

UNSATURATED FATS AND FATTY ACIDS: These are typically liquid oils at room temperature. Most of the vegetable oils contain unsaturated fatty acids. An example is oleic acid, an 18-carbon long monounsaturated fatty acid. It is missing two hydrogens and has one (mono) double bond. The chemical shorthand way to express this is 18:1w9. The w is the Greek symbol meaning Omega. Dr. Ralph Holman is the "father" of Omega fatty acids nomenclature. Oleic acid is an Omega-9 fatty acid because the double bond starts at carbon nine from the Omega end (the end opposite the carboxyl).

POLYUNSATURATED FATS AND FATTY ACIDS (PUFAs): Linoleic acid (LA) is an essential fatty acid (EFA) having 18-carbons and two double bonds, the first one starting at the sixth carbon and is therefore an Omega-6 fatty acid (18:2w6). Another essential fatty acid is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is 18-carbons long with three double bonds, the first beginning at the third carbon and hence called an Omega-3 fatty acid (18:3w3).

Some of you are interested in the chemistry; for others of you, just know that Golden Flaxseed contains MAJOR HEALTH BENEFITS for you and it's easy to grind fresh product for maximum wellness.

Cholesterol and High Triglyceride Problems

Cholesterol is an internal nutrient and is manufactured in the liver, even if you don't eat it. It is necessary for life and furnishes the building blocks for the manufacture of important hormones by the glands in the body.

Many people have hormonal deficiencies of several different glands in the body. Therefore, it is not a wise idea to starve the glands of cholesterol. Problems occur when the liver does not also produce the normal amount of a substance called Lecithin. Lecithin (although it is a sticky, fatty substance) is lighter in comparison to cholesterol and it dissolves cholesterol so the glands can make hormones out of it. Lecithin also keeps large layers and hunks of Cholesterol from building up in the circulatory system and cutting off the flow of blood.

Take liquid lecithin, one Tablespoon per day, or the equivalent, in capsule form (capsules containing liquid lecithin). Liquid lecithin is regarded, by many health practitioners, as being more effective than the dry, granular lecithin.

Flax Seed herbal extract and Lecithin can make the worry about cholesterol a thing of the past. Some people eat a very high cholesterol diet and live a long time. It does, of course, help to be active and move around, if a person does eat a large amount of cholesterol in foods. If you play hard, you can eat hard.

In order for the liver to produce more Lecithin, the liver must be well supplied with the naturally occurring group of vitamins, known as B Complex vitamins. Excellent sources for these vitamins are the herbal extracts of Rice Bran, Bee Pollen or Brewer's Yeast. Take one teaspoon one to three times per day, as a recommended amount. This will enable the liver to produce sufficient quantities of its own Lecithin. Rice Bran or Rice Polish (this is from the outer coverings on the rice grain) in powder form can be used. When the body gets enough B Complex, a person feels a sense of renewed energy and well-being.

Korean Ginseng (Panax Schinseng)

The older the root, the better. Millions of people in China, both men and women, have sung the praises of Ginseng for millennia for counteracting stress, for building stamina, and a multitude of different and wide-ranging problems. Ginseng has been used, successfully, for conditions as different as rheumatoid arthritis, AIDS, allergies, high cholesterol, candida yeast, infections, cancer and viral infections. Modern investigative techniques have revealed one of the possible reasons why Ginseng can do this. Ginseng contains a reliable source of the rare, and much sought after trace element of Germanium. Germanium acts by attaching itself with the available oxygen in the body to increase and normalize cellular and tissue oxygenation. In this way, "the breath of life" can circulate throughout the body, poisons are neutralized, immunity is increased and tissues regenerated. Disease conditions are reversed and prevented. Take every day for its accumulating, life-giving benefits. One day others will marvel at your stamina and well-being.

True American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolia)

As the great American herbalist, Dr. John R. Christopher eloquently explained, "… it takes time for Ginseng to gather the strength of the Earth to itself". It is no secret that the Chinese have preferred our North American Wild Ginseng to theirs right from the beginning. They have this concept that Ginseng grows best in soil that has never been disturbed by agriculture or human habitation and so, reaches its complete potential. True American Ginseng has the additional element of being a hard, wild survivor, which has taken everything adverse in the environment and yet survived. Ginseng has figured strongly, for millennia, in the Native North American medicinal plants used by both men and women for counteracting stress, building stamina, increasing longevity with health, and preventing and clearing up a multitude of different and wide-ranging problems.

Chestnut Leaf (Horse Chestnut)

Chestnut Leaf is taken for inflammation of blood vessels and/or clots due to injury or surgery. It is good to take this before surgery to prevent blood clot formation. It corrects circulatory problems to the brain when the arteries in the neck are clogged or clogging up. Take this herb to correct stroke damage to blood vessels or damaged blood vessels anywhere in the body, including hemorrhoids. Also provides a good source of choline (one of the B vitamins known to dissolve cholesterol).

OC-M

Oral Chelation: The importance of keeping arteries and veins free of fats, cholesterol and hardened waste mineral accumulation can be the difference between a normal life and a substandard existence with reduced activity, life expectancy and/or memory problems. Oral chelation is the action of taking herbal cleaners and conditioners, by mouth, to prevent and clean out circulatory congestion. There need be no fear here of congested bits of debris breaking loose, lodging and causing a problem elsewhere. Herbs are intimately well-programmed to do their job with only intended effects and without dangerous side effects. They can be used with confidence. Chickweed dissolves fat and promotes flexibility. Flax dissolves cholesterol and triglycerides. Stone Root dissolves stone accumulation anywhere in the body, including heart valves, kidneys and bladder, as well as the circulatory system. The leaves of Ginkgo and Gotu Kola nourishes the brain and nervous system and keeps energy flowing to them. They also build a strong memory and reverse the damage of stroke. If it is known specifically where the blood vessels are congested, such as the neck or the heart, then an external application can be undertaken.
